Son Heung-min helped Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-1 win over Aston Villa after creating both Spurs goals in the game.
The South Korean found Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on the edge of the box in the first-half and the Danish international coolly slotted an effort into the bottom right-hand corner.
Villa equalised in the 67 th minute thanks to a goal from England forward Ollie Watkins, but the hosts managed to find a winner just four minutes later as Son registered a second assist when his superb low ball was bundled into the net by defender Matt Targett under pressure from Lucas Moura.
As he played so well, his performance has been praised by Nuno Espirito Santo.
“All the players are very important, all the players. Not only Sonny did a good game, overall the team did very well,” he said, whilst speaking in his post-match press conference.
“Sonny, the way he took the team forward and the way he unbalanced them on one v one situations was very important, but all the team, there were a lot of good individual performances and when this happens the team plays better, it is natural so I am pleased.”
Son also commented on the game and made it clear that it was a win for the supporters.
In his post-match interview with the club, he said: “It feels amazing because we had a couple of tough weeks and it was just so hard to take.
“We take a big responsibility for the fans as well, obviously they don’t deserve this feeling so it just feels so good.”
In return, the fanbase have expressed their appreciation for Son.
