As Tottenham go through their final preparations for Saturday's Premier League clash at Burnley, Ange Postecoglou will be keeping a very keen eye on the club's dealings in the transfer market. Following a number of deals across the summer, Spurs have until 11pm on Friday evening to complete their business before the transfer window closes until New Year.

Quiet on the final day of the window 12 months ago, Daniel Levy and Tottenham look set to be incredibly active with a number of deals needing to be signed off. A new attacker and centre-back are required before the day is out, with a new central midfielder also going to be needed if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg departs.

It could be a very busy day in terms of players heading out of the door, with the Dane one of a number of players linked with moves away. So what exactly would be Tottenham's dream deadline day? We take a look below.

Johnson signs

All eyes are going to be on Brennan Johnson's whereabouts on deadline day as Tottenham look to sign the attacker. Postecoglou's number one attacking target before the window closes for business, Levy and Spurs need to come to an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the England international.

Fans will be hoping that the clubs can come to a swift resolution, especially with many fearing it could drag on right until the end of the window and that always brings about a chance of the deal falling apart before the cut-off point. Valued at around the £50million mark by the East Midlands side, the 22-year-old will cost the Lilywhites a sizeable fee but Levy will be doing everything in his power to bring that fee right down.

If he can indeed do that and strike an agreement for a more reasonable price with Forest for Johnson, it would be the dream scenario for Tottenham.

Gallagher agreement

Conor Gallagher is another name on the lips of all Tottenham fans with plenty of speculation surrounding his future going into the final few hours of the transfer window. A player of interest to Spurs, as reported by football.london in June, the England international could potentially move across the capital before the 11pm deadline.

That may all hinge on Hojbjerg's future and Spurs and Chelsea shaking hands on a deal for Gallagher, though. Transfers between the London rivals are extremely few and far between but a very good offer from Tottenham could persuade the Blues to sanction a late transfer for Gallagher.

Hojbjerg will very likely have a big part to play in the outcome of any potential deal as a transfer away from Spurs could come to fruition for the Danish international. If he is to exit amid interest from Fulham and Atletico Madrid, Tottenham may get their hands on Gallagher.

Centre-back arrives

Adding to their centre-back options at the beginning of August with Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips joining from Wolfsburg and Blackburn Rovers respectively, Tottenham could really do with bringing in another centre-back before 11pm. Although currently having a number of centre-backs to choose from at present, there could be a lot of movement in that area of the pitch before the day is out.

Japhet Tanganga looks on course to seal a move to German side Augsburg, while Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez, who are now in the final year of their contracts, could also be on their way as they aren't first choice in Postecoglou's system. Linked with a number of centre-backs in recent weeks including Perr Schurrs and Tosin Adarabioyo, Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly is the latest player to be mentioned with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham just need to bring in a player who ensures that the levels don't drop when there is a change at the back with either one of Cristian Romero or Van de Ven dropping out. As nice as it would have been for another centre-back to be added to the squad a couple of weeks ago, Tottenham must ensure that they sign Kelly or another defender before 11pm.

Unwanted players sold

One of the main tasks on Levy's to-do list ahead of 11pm is to move on a number of players at Tottenham. Struggling to part with a handful of players all summer, things have picked up over the past week with a few deals coming to fruition but more still needs to be done.

Deadline day will hopefully see former captain Hugo Lloris seal a move elsewhere. Making it clear three months ago that he would like to depart the club for a new challenge elsewhere, the World Cup winner still remains in north London and Spurs, as well as the player for that matter, need to find a resolution quickly. With Sergio Reguilon set to join Manchester United on loan and Tanganga heading to Augsburg, fellow defenders Dier and Sanchez could potentially seal moves away before the deadline.

As Dier has missed out on the matchday squad in the past four games and doesn't appear to be in Postecoglou's thinking, Spurs could really do with finalising a permanent agreement for the England international. Sanchez, in comparison, has featured in a couple of games and the head coach may want him to remain and provide cover unless a suitable offer arrives.

Hojbjerg could be another to exit the club on deadline day, which in turn could pave the way for Gallagher to replace him. In a perfect scenario Tanguy Ndombele will seal a permanent exit, although a loan move looks most likely as clubs just aren't queuing up to buy him permanently due to his poor form in recent years.

Harvey White is one player who could seal a permanent exit, thus giving the club a small financial boost in the process if he heads elsewhere. Finally, if Bryan Gil is not to be in Postecoglou's long-term thinking, the Spain international also needs to be sold rather than heading out on loan season after season.
