Tottenham suffered a second successive defeat in the Premier League on Saturday after losing 2-1 against Wolves at Molineux. Spurs went into the game following the 4-1 loss against Chelsea - with a number of key players missing from the squad.

Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie were both suspended for the fixture after receiving red cards against the Blues on Monday night. Meanwhile, James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven have both been sidelined with injuries and are not expected to return to action until January.

Spurs have now dropped to third in the Premier League table - but risk dropping out of the top four if Liverpool and Aston Villa win their respective fixtures this weekend. football.london has taken a look at Tottenham's next five Premier League fixtures and how they compare to their rivals...

Aston Villa (H) - Sunday, November 26

A real test of Tottenham's Premier League title credentials arrives at the end of November with a clash against Aston Villa. Unai Emery guided the Villains to European football last season and they have continued at an upward trajectory into this season with Ollie Watkins in scintillating form.

On the final day last season, Villa prevented Spurs from finishing in a Europa Conference League spot having also done the double over the Lilywhites and they will therefore be out for revenge.

Manchester City (A) - Sunday, December 3

In recent seasons, Tottenham have been a bit of a bogey team for Pep Guardiola as he is still yet to taste a victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, however this clash comes at the Etihad. Despite Postecoglou's front-foot style, Spurs seeing the bulk of the ball is extremely unlikely.

After having played against a low-block Spurs for the past few years, Guardiola will likely be overjoyed at seeing Spurs come out to try and match his winning machine. Although, it is certainly possible that Spurs can take something from the game, given their display and end result against Arsenal earlier this season.

West Ham (H) - Thursday, December 7

The first Premier League midweek fixture for Tottenham arrives in early December with a London derby against West Ham. Despite losing Declan Rice, the Hammers have taken the confidence from winning last season's Europa Conference League into this campaign where they have made a strong start.

David Moyes' side were beaten by Brentford last weekend but they will still pose a challenge for Postecoglou and his players.

Newcastle United (H) - Sunday, December 10

Just three days after the fixture against West Ham, Tottenham welcome high-flying Newcastle to north London. Eddie Howe has got his side playing some decent stuff yet again this season as the Magpies also compete in the Champions League.

Given Newcastle have beaten the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Man City in a number of competitions this season it will be a tough test for Postecoglou and his team.

Nottingham Forest (A) - Friday, December 15

A short turnaround sees Postecoglou's side take on Nottingham Forest just a few days after Spurs' clash against Newcastle. Forest have had an indifferent start to the 2023/24 campaign but remain a threat with the pace, trickery and strength of Taiwo Awoniyi, Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White.

Forest have already beaten the likes of Chelsea and Villa so far this season and so cannot be underestimated by Postecoglou and his players.

Arsenal's next five fixtures:

Brentford (A) - Saturday, November 25

Wolves (H) - Saturday, December 2

Luton Town (A) - Tuesday, December 5
