Ange Postecoglou will likely face several more Tottenham transfer decisions in the remaining few weeks of the summer window. The 2023/24 Premier League season is already underway with Spurs drawing against Brentford in their opening clash before beating Manchester United this past weekend.

The new campaign starting while transfers can still be completed allows Postecoglou to assess the weaknesses in his squad and figure out the players in his plans for the upcoming season. Talented youngsters Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr are expected to be involved in those thoughts after they both impressed in the 2-0 victory over Man United.

Tosin Adarabioyo, Perr Schuurs, Conor Gallagher, Eberechi Eze, Gift Orban and Brennan Johnson are just a few names Tottenham are targeting. However, any of those names arriving would have to see a clear quota met. "The reality of it is we can't just keep acquiring players. We've got too big a squad as it is. It affects the training, the players themselves because they all want to play and be involved," Postecoglou openly revealed.

"It's not so much one has to happen for the other but our focus at the moment is trimming the squad down and seeing where that takes us in terms of reinforcements. We're assessing that on a daily basis. There's still two weeks to go in the window and I'm sure you'll see some movement."

One current star likely to depart is Djed Spence with the young wing-back failing to impress Postecoglou in pre-season, while senior members of the squad such as Eric Dier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Hugo Lloris are unlikely to remain at the club for much longer.

Although finding new clubs for that trio is proving difficult despite Atletico Madrid's long-standing interest in Hojbjerg. But, a different trio could all be closing in on exits to help Postecoglou complete the first part of his transfer plan that could result in more signings being made.

Despite some pre-season hope, Tanguy Ndombele is up for sale with Postecoglou unimpressed by the Frenchman. According to RMC journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Turkish outfit Galatasaray are interested with Spurs to demand between €15-20million (£12.8-£17million) to sell their club-record signing.

Japhet Tanganga has Premier League clubs monitoring him with Everton and Luton interested and a loan with an option to buy on the table from the latter. Fellow defender Davinson Sanchez is also facing an exit with Spurs accepting a £12million offer from Spartak Moscow, however it was a move that Sanchez was not interested in.

Now, Foot Mercato are claiming that the Colombia international is a 'serious option' for Rennes who are plotting to replace the outgoing Arthur Theate. Spurs already have an existing relationship with the French club having sent Joe Rodon and Djed Spence on loan there last season which could help a deal be agreed.

If those exits are sanctioned, Postecoglou can advance with his plans to bring in replacements and strengthen the depth and quality of his squad.
