Arsenal are expected to miss on on the title while Tottenham Hotspur are set to fall away from the Champions League places altogether.

This is according to Betting Expert's table predictor, BETSiE, who have Arsenal down to finish second with Spurs to fall to a lowly seventh. The forecast will disappoint fans of both North London clubs.

The Gunners spent almost £200million on new singings in the summer. Declan Rice arrived for over £100million on his own and the sizable outlay was spent in a bid to topple Manchester City at the top of the table.

In the other camp, Spurs had limited expectations heading into the campaign but Ange Postecoglou had them at the top of the table just a couple of weeks ago. Lengthy absences for James Maddison and Micky van der Ven have threatened to curtail that form, however, and the punters have shifted out of their favour.

City are down to win the league, accumulating approximately 84 points, with Liverpool in third and Newcastle United in fourth. Aston Villa are expected to narrowly miss out on the Champions League sports in fifth.

Fellow Londoners Chelsea are expected to bounce back from their sluggish start to the season. Mauricio Pochettino's men have been placed in sixth with Manchester United languishing in eighth.

Sheffield United, Luton Town and Burnley are expected to return to the Championship after all gaining promotion last season. The supercomputer has each of them to be relegated with Burnley, in 18th, to acquire just 28 points.
