It proved to be another mixed week on the loan front for Tottenham's players. Seeing eight players depart Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer to get regular football elsewhere, not all of Spurs' loanees have so far got the minutes they desire.

Injuries have played a part in that, with others so far having to settle for a spot on the substitutes' bench and then make do with minutes here and there at the end of games. For two Tottenham stars, though, it turned out to be a very memorable week at their respective loan clubs.

Here's how Tottenham's eight loan players fared over the past week.

Tanguy Ndombele (Galatasaray)

Departing Tottenham for Turkey at the start of September, Ndombele's loan spell at Galatasaray has just not got going at all so far. Making seven appearances in all competitions for his new club this term, with six of those coming off the bench, the Frenchman will be hoping to add to his game time on Wednesday evening when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Ndombele has been absent for Galatasaray's past two matches against Caykur Rizespor and Kasimpasa due to a groin injury but he is back in the matchday party for the European clash in Germany. The talented midfielder really needs to see his minutes increase over the coming weeks so he can try and silence the criticism that has come his way recently.

Ndombele's performances and preparations have come under the microscope, with reports in Turkey from various publications such as Fotospor, Yenicag and Kamu Son Haber, claiming that he was found to be eating junk food at home, including ordering a burger at his hotel base after the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, despite following a planned dietary programme while at the club's training ground.

It was reported that this had sparked a late night showdown with Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk, with some reports going on to suggest that the player was told that he would not play for the team until he had dropped his body weight down to 75kg. His struggles in Turkey have led to some talk in the local media that his loan deal could even be terminated in January.

Now back in the fold for Galatasaray's next game, Ndombele will be hoping to make an impact against Bayern and then in Saturday's league fixture away at Hatayspor before the third international break of the campaign takes place.

Sergio Reguilon (Manchester United)

Having recently returned from a muscular injury to start in the 1-0 Champions League victory over Copenhagen before getting 17 minutes in the 3-0 derby defeat against Man City, more game time came Reguilon's way in the 3-0 Carabao Cup loss at home to Newcastle United. The Spaniard received a score of four out of ten in Manchester Evening News' player ratings for his performance across the 90 minutes.

They wrote: "Reckless for Almiron's goal when he was caught out of position. Showing why he is/was Tottenham's third-choice left-back."

Back on the bench for last Saturday's crucial game at Fulham, Reguilon remained on there for the full game as the Red Devils claimed a last-minute 1-0 win in west London. Despite being the only out-and-out left-back in the matchday squad, Reguilon missed out on selection as Diogo Dalot got the nod in the position.

Coming up against Copenhagen in the Champions League again on Wednesday evening, United return to Premier League action on Saturday when Luton Town make the trip to Old Trafford.

Joe Rodon (Leeds United)

It proved to be a very good week for Rodon and Leeds United as the West Yorkshire club registered a hugely impressive victory away at runaway league leaders Leicester City. Daniel Farke's men wowed in the game at the King Power Stadium and deservedly claimed all three points courtesy of Georginio Rutter's goal just prior to the hour mark.

Tottenham loanee Rodon had a major role to play in the victory as Leeds restricted the Foxes to only one shot on target across the 90 minutes, with that effort coming in stoppage time as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's header was tipped around the post by Illan Meslier.

The Wales international was given a score of nine out of ten by Leeds Live for his "tremendous" showing. They wrote: "Tremendous. Came into his own as the pressure was piled on in the final quarter of the match. Reduced Jamie Vardy to a spectator in the first half. Some massive slides, blocks and clearances in the second period."

Leeds will be looking to follow up their win in Leicester with another three points when they host Plymouth Argyle at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Djed Spence (Leeds United)

Spence was once again not in the Leeds matchday squad but the right-back could very soon return to match action following his knee injury. Only featuring in one game for the West Yorkshire club since making the switch from Spurs, the 23-year-old has been on the sidelines since September and it was estimated that he would be out for around eight weeks.

Speaking ahead of the big win over Huddersfield Town at the end of October, Farke gave an update on Spence and suggested it could be between 10 and 14 days before he would return to full training.

"Djed is also in the last stages of his rehab," said the German. "I hope both of them, Stuart [Dallas] and Djed can return back to team training pretty soon and then I guess Djed was also out for about eight weeks, so it's not like the first day back in team training he'll be available for the game, he also needs a bit of training, but I hope that's pretty soon, in the next days.

"Perhaps 10 days, 14 days that he will return back to team training but he hasn't joined us yet."

Going on Farke's estimated return to team training which lands on the eve of Saturday's game against Plymouth, a return after the international break looks most likely for the player.

Troy Parrott (Excelsior Rotterdam)

Having had to contend with minutes from the bench for Excelsior Rotterdam despite netting three times for the Dutch club, Parrott was finally rewarded with a start last Wednesday as he came into the team for their KNVB Cup clash against Den Bosch. The Republic of Ireland international was given 90 minutes by manager Marinus Dijkhuizen but he made way at the start of extra-time.

Drawing 1-1 at full-time, Excelsior went on to win the game courtesy of Julian Baas' goal. Another start was to follow three days later as Parrott led the line in their home match against high-flying AZ Alkmaar.

The youngster featured for 78 minutes in the 1-1 draw, a result which leaves them in seventh in the Eredivisie after 11 games. An away match against Utrecht is on the agenda this weekend before domestic football pauses for the international break.

Japhet Tanganga (Augsburg)

After a nightmare start to his Augsburg loan through injury, Tanganga was finally handed some positive news as he was named in the matchday squad for the first time for their away clash against Koln. Taking his place on the bench, the versatile defender was an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw but he will have been incredibly happy to be involved in the matchday party after such a frustrating start to life in Germany.

Tanganga's Augsburg bow could potentially come on Saturday afternoon when they host Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Dane Scarlett (Ipswich Town)

Scarlett's Ipswich Town loan spell sparked into life last weekend as he played a pivotal role off the bench in their 2-2 draw away at Birmingham City. Trailing 2-0 to Wayne Rooney's team, Scarlett was introduced in the 72nd minute and had a hand in both goals as the Tractor Boys came from behind to rescue a point.

Firstly receiving the ball on the left flank and breezing beyond Cody Drameh with a fine stepover to fire the ball across goal that led to Marcus Harness' finish, the striker then picked out Omari Hutchinson in the dying minutes with a superb ball between two Birmingham defenders that led to the Ipswich goalscorer netting his second.

In East Anglian Daily Times' player ratings from the match, Scarlett was awarded a score of seven out of ten for his key role in the draw. They wrote: "Big performance. Great trickery and cross to set up Town's first, and a lovely lob to play Hutchinson through down the right for the equaliser. Hopefully he can kick on from this."

Putting himself in contention for a starting spot on Tuesday night at Rotherham United, the England Under-21 international once again had to settle for a spot on the bench before coming on for the final seven minutes. On the pitch when Ipswich looked to have scored a crucial late winner, the visitors unfortunately couldn't hold on as Rotherham restored parity through Christ Tiehi in stoppage time.

Ipswich's next game comes on Saturday when Swansea City make the trip to Portman Road.

Alfie Devine (Port Vale)

Devine was in the headlines last week after helping Port Vale create history in the Carabao Cup as the League One side made it through to the quarter-finals of the competition. The attacking midfielder was the hero as his strike from distance, which came a matter of days after his acrobatic effort against Cheltenham Town, saw them secure a 1-0 win away at Mansfield Town.

The Valiants managed to avoid all the Premier League clubs in the quarter-final draw and will instead take on Championship side Middlesbrough for a place in the final four. Following the high of their cup win, Vale returned to action on Saturday at home to Burton Albion in the FA Cup but the second round clash finished goalless, with Devine playing the full game.

Involved in cup football once again on Tuesday night as they lost 2-1 away at Wrexham in the EFL Trophy, Devine was not part of the Vale squad as manager Andy Crosby rotated his team. Port Vale travel to Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon in League One.
