Luka Milivojevic has spoken of just how special his time at Crystal Palace has been as he prepares to leave the club this summer.

The Serbian midfielder is set to depart the south London club this summer, having been with the Eagles for six-and-a-half years after joining Palace in January 2017 during Sam Allardyce's time in charge.

Milivojevic has become a key player for Palace since then, becoming captain in January 2018 and finishing as the club's top scorer in both the 2017/18 season and the 2018/19 campaign.

In total, he has scored 28 goals in 198 appearances for Palace, with the Serbian presented this week with the chairman's award for outstanding contribution, along with fellow midfielder James McArthur, at the club's end-of-season awards.

And Milivojevic has spoken of how much his time at Palace has meant to him following his transfer from Greek side Olympiacos.

“I have been at this club for so long and because this club is so special, you feel it will never end, but it’s the football life," he said.

“It has been a privilege to spend almost seven years at such a special club. I want to thank all of the managers, coaches and staff members who made my stay here such an enjoyable one. When I look at the club now compared to when I arrived, I see a team full of ambition to reach higher and higher – you can be sure I will be following the results from afar.

“To the fans: there is something special about Selhurst Park, and the way you got behind me on the field, whether we were winning or losing, is something I will never forget. To play in the Premier League is every player’s dream, and to do it for so long at Crystal Palace has been an honour – I hope that I have made you all proud.

"I want to say thank you to all of you guys: players, coaching staff, and a lot of people behind the scenes. Thank you to all of you guys who have made me feel special every day.”
