Arsenal stars Kai Havertz and Jorginho have been complimentary of their time at Chelsea ahead of their return to Stamford Bridge this weekend, claims Mikel Arteta. The Gunners make the short trip across London to face off against their local rivals, with more than three points up for grabs.
There's the bragging rights and sense of pride that comes with such an occasion, with two teams that have historically battled for titles over different periods. In the last decade or so, that honour has been for the Blues, who have won the league title on an occasion or two.
However, that balance may have shifted over the past year as Chelsea's struggles have coincided with Arsenal's rise to the top once again. Arteta's team cemented themselves as title challengers last season, but fell painfully short of lifting the trophy after an unstoppable run of form from eventual champions Manchester City.
Transfer investment has seen them add a host of players to try and take them that one step further and to finally win that title this season. Havertz and Jorginho have been among those making the switch from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium in the hopes of doing that.
Six wins and two draws from the opening eight games has the Gunners unbeaten and joint-top of the league, but their next challenge is that London derby clash with Chelsea. Havertz and Jorginho making their return will be a hotly discussed topic, due to their affiliations with the club.

The pair won titles with the Blues but often times, the moving towards rivals can leave a bitter taste and confusion over such a decision. Despite all of that, both players have appeared to be positive about their former club, with Arteta shedding light on what they've said about their time there.
When asked about whether Havertz was excited to return, he said: "And Jorgi [Jorginho] as well. I'm sure they will be [excited]. They were there, they talk really highly about the club and everybody there. So it will be a special day for them."
It remains to be seen what kind of reception they will receive if thrown into the game at any point, but the main focus will no doubt be adding three more points to their tally for their push towards the league title.
