Jude Bellingham's outing for England vs Italy added to his collection of outstanding performances so far this season - but the England midfielder told Joe Cole he is only getting better.

The 20-year-old began featuring for England in his time at Borussia Dortmund, but it's his move to Real Madrid in the summer which has really got fans across the world purring over every single pass, flick and shot that he takes.

His goal against Scotland in the last international break was followed up with an incredible assist for Marcus Rashford against Italy on Tuesday evening, and alongside winning the penalty that allowed Harry Kane to equalise, he's quickly becoming one of the first names on the team sheet for England ahead of the European Championships in the summer.

But the former Birmingham man believes he can still get better despite a hatful of man of the match performances this season - and he told Chelsea and West Ham icon Joe Cole that he's getting better every single time that he steps out onto the pitch.

Bellingham told Cole on Channel 4 after the game: "I’m getting a little bit better every time I play.

"It was a really good night for us. We all remember what happened here a few years ago when they played us here, and I think you are always aiming for progression. Games like this kind of indicate it with the result and the performance against the same team a few years later.

"We’re heading in the right direction and it’s a very important win for us today. I am just loving football at the minute. Every time I am on the pitch I am just enjoying myself. I feel really free.

"The manager for my club and my country are giving me the freedom to play it how I see it really. I know defensively I have to keep my discipline, but offensively I know I can offer a lot all over the pitch.

"I am just loving my footy."
