Here is your morning Arsenal digest on Saturday, November 4.

Jorginho vow

Arsenal holding midfielder Jorginho has vowed that Mikel Arteta's side will try and make Wednesday's 3-1 loss to West Ham United right on Saturday when they take on Newcastle. "Really tough one," the Italian told the club's website after the defeat to the Hammers.

"The only thing we can take from this tough result is how we need to be much better at competing for the next game [against Newcastle]. Because if you’re going to play at this level, you won’t win for sure.

"So that’s what I think we need to improve on for the next game to try and win there. It’s great that the game is in three days, because it’s a chance to turn things around, and turn this feeling because it’s not the best feeling of course.

"We can go and try to put things right.”

William Saliba slammed

Chelsea hero Marcel Desailly has delivered a damning verdict of Arsenal defender William Saliba. When speaking about Les Blues' central defenders, he told GFFN: "Then there is the one at Arsenal too (Saliba) – he hasn’t yet had the game time to adapt to that necessary association.

"I don’t believe his individual qualities to be above average. He’s at a very, very high level but not extraordinary.

Mikel Arteta's Tottenham admission

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has delivered his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur's chances of winning the Premier League title this season. Spurs have enjoyed a stellar start to life under new head coach Ange Postecoglou, accruing 26 points from their first ten league outings.

That form sees them sit top of the pile, two points ahead of the Gunners in second. Now, Arteta has admitted that their north London rivals are in the mix to lift the title come May.

When asked if the Lilywhites are a direct title rival, the Spaniard said: "Well, they are right now up there and they’re merited to be where they are so yes."
