The Premier League will welcome another club from the nation's capital tonight.

After what turned into an especially long and tumultuous season, it comes down to one game for Fulham and Brentford who will battle it out to join Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion in the 2020/21 Premier League.

Both participants in tonight's final pushed hard throughout the season for automatic promotion. Brentford in particular have had to recover the psychological hammer blow of their 1-0 defeat to Stoke.

The door had been momentarily left ajar by Slaven Bilic's West Brom, but Thomas Frank's side failed to capitalise.

Heading into the play-offs, his side have, however, since managed to dust themselves down. The Bees overcame a 1-0 deficit from the opening game against Swansea to progress 3-2 on aggregate.

The same aggregate score saw Scott Parker's Fulham edge their way past the league's other Welsh side Cardiff City. The game looked to be dead and buried after the first game, but an admirable fightback from Neil Harris' men took it to the wire.
