Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to put Monday night's surprise 4-1 Premier League defeat to Chelsea behind him this afternoon when his side travels to Wolves.

Spurs fell to their first league loss of the season last time out in a London derby thriller. Dejan Kulusevski's early opener was as good as it got for the north Londoners, with Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie sent off either side of half-time.

Cole Palmer's penalty levelled the scoring before Nicolas Jackson's first hat-trick for Chelsea meant Mauricio Pochettino endured a happy return to Tottenham. To make matters worse for Postecoglou, Micky van de Ven and James Maddison were both forced off with injuries.

Van de Ven pulled up with a hamstring injury after sprinting back to defend a Chelsea counter-attack while Maddison left the field with an ankle problem. Unfortunately for Tottenham, the duo will face a period on the sidelines.

"There's a fair bit happened after Monday night. Micky with a hamstring injury we knew was fairly significant. We're looking at a couple of months for him, looking into the New Year," Postecoglou said in his pre-match press conference.

"Madders a lot worse than we first thought. He came off with the ankle injury and next day wasn't great so we sent him off for a scan. Again, not great for him. Again, into the New Year for him."
