The second round of the FA Cup is nearly over, and the third round is now very much in sight.

Premier League and Championship clubs have been joined by a number of lower league opposition in the hat following victories over the weekend.

The likes of AFC Wimbledon, Leyton Orient, Cambridge United, Wigan Athletic and Plymoth Argyle have all made it to the next round, whilst others, including Portsmouth and Doncaster, have had their cup run cut short following defeat.

There's still one game to go, however, as non-League outfit Boreham Wood host local rivals St Albans City in this evening's kick-off.

Chelsea came close to lifting the trophy last season, but they were stopped in their tracks by a thunderbolt from Leicester's Youri Tielemans as the Foxes went on to win the competition for the first time.

The draw will take place following the conclusion of this weekend's results and therefore, football.london has taken a look at everything you need to know ahead of it.

When is the draw?

The draw for the third round of the competition will take place tonight as part of the coverage for local non-league Hertfordshire derby Boreham Wood v St Albans City.

How can I follow it?

The game will be shown live on ITV4. The programme starts at 6:45pm, with kick-off an hour later.

Who is in it?

The 20 winners of the second round ties from the weekend will be in the draw.

The remaining 44 spots will be taken up by clubs in the Premier League and Championship who are automatically entered into the draw at the third round stage.
