Chelsea will be hoping to stretch their unbeaten run in all competitions to five games when they face Brentford in a west London derby. The Blues are coming into the Premier League clash one week on from a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge where the visitors scored two late goals to salvage a point.

Prior to that game, Mauricio Pochettino had seen his team beat Brighton, Fulham and Burnley, and getting back to winning ways will certainly be the aim this afternoon. Thomas Frank's side ended their barren run of no wins last weekend against Burnley and another three points, which is what they took from Stamford Bridge last season, will be the target.

Arguably, for the first time this season, Pochettino faces a number of team selection dilemmas with many of his senior stars returning from injury. Captain Reece James is back but is still only fit enough for a spot on the bench while Nicolas Jackson and Benoit Badiashile will both be pushing for a spot in the starting XI after vastly different injury lay-offs.

With that said, Pochettino will have likely been working his players hard on the Cobham training pitches with the latest images capturing some key moments ahead of Brentford. Here is everything football.london noticed.

Mudryk hint

Mykhailo Mudryk will be hoping his goal against Arsenal is enough to see him make back-to-back starts. The Ukraine international has been a consistent starter when fit, although the return of a natural striker could see him forced to settle for a place on the bench.

In training, Mudryk can be just seen wearing an orange bib as the Blues play a small-sided game. Also visible in the image, not wearing bibs, is Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella and Levi Colwill - three expected starters. While this does not confirm his involvement, it is far more likely the starting group are the ones without bibs and therefore that would indicate Mudryk is not in the XI.

Against Arsenal, Cole Palmer was deployed in a false nine role to great affect, but Pochettino may prefer to have an aerial threat against the Bees with Mudryk as the unfortunate attacker to drop out, possibly leaving a front three of Nicolas Jackson, Raheem Sterling and Palmer.

Palmer warning

Although both of his goals for Chelsea this season have come from the penalty spot, Cole Palmer has been electric since his move from Manchester City. The 21-year-old was unfortunate to only score one against the Gunners after causing Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba, a duo some consider to be the best centre-back partnership in the league, numerous problems.

And it looks as though he has taken that into training with an image showing him with the ball at his feet perhaps moments before getting beyond the challenge of Axel Disasi. A video uploaded to Chelsea's TikTok account also shows a quick Palmer highlight reel.

In the 21-second clip, Palmer looks sharp and that is later reflected by him scoring twice and setting up two goals in Chelsea's small-sided game at Cobham.

Jackson joy

Nicolas Jackson has endured a mixed start to his Chelsea career with injuries and form somewhat affecting his confidence in front of goal. The summer signing has scored three goals this season, although it could have been far more with big chances missed against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.

Despite that, he is still in high spirits with the latest pictures from Chelsea's training session showing him laughing and joking with Marc Cucurella.
