This evening's Carabao Cup tie between Leyton Orient and Tottenham has been called off.
With Jose Mourinho's men due to travel across the capital for the third round clash, the League Two side released a statement on Monday afternoon confirming that a number of their players had tested positive for Covid-19.
The announcement immediately raised question marks over whether or not the game would go ahead at the Breyer Group Stadium, with confirmation now that it will not take place.
However, it has not yet been decided what will happen in regards to the cancellation of the fixture and a further update will be provided in due course.
A statement from The EFL read: "Tonight’s Carabao Cup match between Leyton Orient and Tottenham Hotspur is not taking place this evening as scheduled.
"Discussions are ongoing between the relevant stakeholders in regards to the implications of the fixture not taking place tonight and a further update will be provided in due course.
"Leyton Orient, the EFL and the relevant authorities are conducting a thorough review of the club’s covid-19 secure procedures with the view to reopening the stadium and training ground as soon as possible."

While Spurs will be hoping for a quick decision regarding the match as the fourth round is due to take place next week, Leyton Orient are believed to want the chance to play the game at some point.
However, what makes things tricky is the hectic schedule Spurs are having to deal with at present due to their involvement in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
Following Thursday's trip to North Macedonia to face Shkendija, the Lilywhites then face Premier League games against Newcastle United and Manchester United, as well as the possibility of extra Carabao Cup and Europa League fixtures before the international break commences on Monday, October 5.
Everything is being considered at present before a final decision is made on the Carabao Cup third round tie.
