With his side already struggling to deal with injuries so early into a Premier League campaign, it's impressive how well Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou's start to life in England has gone.

Sure, there had been some close calls but to go your first 10 matches unbeaten and win Manager of the Month for the first three months of the season, it hasn't gone unnoticed. However, back-to-back losses to rivals Chelsea and Wolves before the international break will threaten to derail that hard work if they can't find their feet in four straight brutal tests to end November and across December.

First they host Aston Villa, then take a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face reigning champions Manchester City in what could be a season-defining clash. Then it's back down to London for two home games, the first a London derby against West Ham before they take on Eddie Howe's high-flying Newcastle United in another gruelling battle that could have implications later on this season.

And while the Spurs boss will of course have one eye on those matches, he'll be keeping another on the transfer market which will open back up again in January. It's been a tough season already for the club's injury department who have been working overtime in order to keep up with the amount of on-pitch knocks the players are picking up.

In modern day football, the calendar of matches seems to continuously expand and go on and players are now feeling the burn of it, with 100 players now injured across the 20 Premier League clubs. Spurs are no exception, with key stars James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven both ruled out with long-term issues they suffered against Chelsea earlier in the month.

Elsewhere, Richarlison has had surgery on an issue while Brennan Johnson and captain Son Heung-min have had injury scares throughout the season, with the latter almost picking up a problem while on international duty for South Korea earlier this week. It seems as though the only constant throughout the side this year has been Dejan Kulusevski, with the winger having come up clutch multiple times this season.

It was his winner at the death against Sheffield United that propelled the side to the top of the league, but he could be set to face some stiff competition as Postecoglou looks to reinvigorate his attacking ranks. Enter a familiar face to the Premier League, Raphinha.

The Brazilian winger is set to leave La Liga champions Barcelona, just 18 months after leaving Leeds United in a £60million move. Despite netting 10 goals in his debut season at the Nou Camp, he's been restricted to just five starts in all competitions so far this campaign, with the club now prepared to let him go in order to cut costs.

Barca's financial struggles in recent years have been well-documented, and according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, they're willing to do business if a club enters negotiations with a bid that 'satisfies' them and that Spurs are one of the sides pondering a potential swoop. Raphinha has started only three league games this season, and could now look to return to England as he hopes for more regular minutes to better his chances of getting into the Brazil squad for next summer's Copa America.

He's a player that Arsenal and Chelsea have both gone after in the past, with both clubs looking to bring him in before his initial move to Spain back in the summer of 2022. However, neither club were willing to pay the fee Barcelona were, meaning the Whites cashed in on the star.

Now though, Postecoglou could grab the 26-year-old for a fraction of the price and complete the deal that his north London counterpart in Mikel Arteta couldn't get done.
